Job summary

Raytheon’s Multi-Product Power & Digital (MPD) team in McKinney, TX seeks a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer to design, analyze, and verify digital circuit card assemblies. You will define architectures, collaborate with ECAD teams, and drive integration through production readiness, including embedded processors and high-speed interfaces.

This onsite role requires a DoD Secret clearance, DoD policy familiarity, and leadership of small teams with a strong emphasis on schedule and quality.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Design, analysis, simulation, and/or test experience with digital electronic circuit designs including processors, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, and flash memories.
• Experience maturing design concepts from the block diagram or requirements level to development of complete, verified digital designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, test, and documentation of digital electronics circuit card assemblies including embedded processors, FPGAs, memories, and interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART.
• Define architecture at the circuit card level and drive integration and verification activities.
• Collaborate with ECAD drafters through stackup definition, SI/PI simulations, layout, and routing activities.
• Engineer test plans, perform integration, and support root-cause investigations during qualification.
