Job summary

Raytheon, headquartered in North Texas, is seeking a Principal Digital Hardware Design Engineer for an onsite role in McKinney, TX. You will design FPGA-based sensor and effector hardware, partner with multidisciplinary teams, define requirements, execute detailed design and simulations, and provide lifecycle support.

This position requires DoD security clearance (Secret) and U.S. citizenship, with relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience maturing design concepts from block diagram to complete digital designs.
• Expertise with schematic capture and PCB layout CAD.
• Experience with lab equipment for hardware verification.
• Advanced knowledge of PCIe, Ethernet, memory interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drive requirements decomposition and architecture definition.
• Lead design, analysis, test and verification of digital hardware.
• Coordinate with ECAD drafters through layout and routing.
• Manage risks, schedule, and budget with senior leadership.
• Support customer interactions and contribute to roadmaps.
