United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Database Support Engineer to help developers unblock issues and optimize workloads across Postgres, Auth, and related services. You’ll collaborate with customers and engineering to improve product quality and the developer experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical support, databases, backend engineering or similar.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge: autovacuum, WAL, long transactions, bloat.
• Strong in high-performance SQL and query optimization.
• Experience troubleshooting complex multi-tenant and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with cloud hosting providers like AWS and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve advanced customer issues across Postgres, Auth, RLS, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions, and client libraries.
• Provide consultative advice to optimize workloads and deliver tailored guidance.
• Reproduce bugs, isolate root causes, and prepare reproducible steps for engineering.
• Ask targeted questions to convert reports into actionable cases.
• Communicate clearly with users during high-impact or time-sensitive situations.
• Identify patterns and suggest improvements to documentation, tooling, and product.
