United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Database Support Engineer to help developers unblock issues and optimize workloads on its Postgres-based platform. You’ll work with customers and engineering to improve reliability and developer experience, often in async, fast-paced settings.

The role emphasizes deep PostgreSQL knowledge, high-performance SQL, and mentoring teammates, with full remote work enabled globally.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical support, DBS, backend eng or similar roles.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge including autovacuum/WAL behavior.
• Strong SQL optimization and multi-tenant systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve advanced customer issues across platform components.
• Provide proactive guidance to optimize workloads and avoid pitfalls.
• Reproduce bugs, isolate root causes, and report with steps.
• Mentor junior team members and improve support quality.
• Drive product improvements from patterns in tickets.
