Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking an experienced Medical Informatics Population Health Analyst, Consultant, to lead complex analytics and reporting across population health initiatives. You will translate results into actionable recommendations for executives and drive improvements in outcomes, utilization, and affordability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 7+ years of healthcare analytics delivering cost, quality, utilization, and/or outcomes analytics.
• Experience leading high-complexity analyses using 5+ data sources and multivariate methods across departments.
• Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL and SAS Base, Stat, or Graph; repeatable reporting in Excel/Access with minimal supervision.
• Experience building reusable SAS Macro and PL/SQL programs for routine reporting.
• Experience using R Studio, Python, SAS or other stats software for multivariate stats and graphics.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex population health analytics and reporting solutions with minimal supervision.
• Translate analytic results into clear recommendations and decision points.
• Support population health investments and improvements in outcomes, equity, utilization, and affordability across lines of business.
