Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Principal Data Analyst in Health to deliver complex analytics, insights, and strategic recommendations for provider networks. The role reports to Senior Director, Provider Services-Network and partners across business units.

The ideal candidate brings 10 years of health care experience, advanced Excel, Access, Tableau, SAS, and strong communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or HS diploma with 4 years of relevant experience; a Master's is preferred.
• Requires 10 years of experience in Health Care (managed care, academic, or government payer).
• Strong Excel modeling and advanced formulas is preferred.
• Experience with Access, Tableau and SAS is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to present to leaders.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to influence leaders and work with diverse teams; work independently; project management knowledge preferred.
