Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior Manager of Program Management for our Development Test Operations. You will lead a team of Program Managers embedded with engineering groups, shaping vision, governance, and standards to deliver disciplined, repeatable test programs.

You will translate engineering plans into executable field tests while partnering with Engineering leadership. The role requires 7+ years in PM/OP, including 5+ years managing a team, and demonstrated ability to standardize cadence across

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Program Management, Project Management, or Technical Operations.
• 5+ years directly managing a team of Program/Project Managers.
• Experience standardizing reporting/operating cadences for distributed teams.
• Fluent in software/hardware development workflows and test programs.
• Proven ability managing relationships with Engineering leadership and Planning/Portfolio stakeholders.
• Experience in autonomous vehicle, automotive, robotics, logistics, or similar ops environments.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic planning and alignment for the team, setting the PM vision and governance.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Program Managers with consistent operating norms.
• Own program-level planning across engineering areas, ensuring clear scope and dates.
• Ensure PMs are single points of contact with engineering, with clear timelines.
• Manage resources, budget, and track dependencies.
• Share test program risks and mitigations with stakeholders.
• Review test execution and QA trends, drive root-cause fixes.
• Drive process improvements and standardized workflows with metrics.
