Job summary

Remitly is expanding beyond remittances to offer a full suite of financial products. As Principal Product Manager for Send Now Pay Later, you will own the strategy and roadmap for borrowing products and work with engineers, designers, analysts, and internal partners.

This is a senior, high-ownership role reporting to the General Manager of the Borrow team. You will balance growth with responsible lending, drive engagement with the Remitly Card, and champion AI-driven research and experimentation

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience in consumer fintech or financial services.
• Track record scaling financial products to high-volume usage with measurable impact on retention or portfolio health.
• Deep familiarity with lending and credit product dynamics and repayment mechanics.
• Experience driving cross-product or platform engagement to boost retention and LTV.
• AI-first mindset and willingness to explore AI-powered borrowing experiences.
• Strong quantitative skills, ability to define metrics and read data.
• Experience working with Risk, Compliance, and Legal on regulated products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and cross-functional influence.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for borrowing solutions.
• Lead the full lifecycle from discovery to launch and optimization.
• Drive early feature activation for onboarded members and convert to active users.
• Drive engagement across the Remitly Card plan to deepen usage.
• Build proactive and reactive retention strategies to maintain healthy portfolio health.
• Develop a clear repayment UX to build trust and encourage repeat borrowing.
• Champion an AI-first approach across the lifecycle.
• Define success metrics and instrumentation and build analytics frameworks.
• Develop a competitive POV for immigrant/underserved segments.
• Represent the voice of the customer through research and synthesis.
• Communicate roadmap and trade-offs to stakeholders and leadership.
