Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to join a leading commercial mechanical construction firm in Mesa, AZ. The role focuses on detailed takeoffs, pricing, and competitive bidding for major projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial plumbing/HVAC estimating, strong blueprint reading, and expertise in Excel and estimating software, with solid communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing/HVAC estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction docs.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software; strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed takeoffs and pricing for commercial plumbing and mechanical projects.
• Review, negotiate, and obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain estimating databases and spreadsheets with VP of Estimating.
• Lead estimates and prepare clear scope letters for projects.
• Coordinate communication with vendors, subcontractors, clients and team.
