Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting seeks a Senior Mechanical Estimator in Phoenix, AZ to deliver accurate cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping and other mechanical systems on commercial and industrial construction projects. Lead design-build and plan-spec bids ensuring competitiveness.

You will analyze drawings, coordinate with PMs, engineers, and subs, maintain cost databases, conduct site visits, and mentor junior estimators. Competitive salary with benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of mechanical estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing and piping systems.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for mechanical scopes on design-build and plan-spec projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, historical pricing, and vendor relationships.
• Conduct site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess project conditions and risks.
• Prepare and present bid proposals and value engineering options to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in contract negotiations and scope reviews.
• Mentor junior estimators and support staff.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic construction team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is critical in shaping the success of our mechanical projects by delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other mechanical systems in commercial and industrial construction.
