Job summary

You will independently develop estimates from early design through final bid, review drawings and specifications for scope and risk, perform detailed takeoffs, and support value-engineering and pricing strategy.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of mechanical estimating experience.
• Strong commercial mechanical construction background.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and process systems.
• Strong takeoff and bid-analysis experience.
• Ability to independently develop detailed estimates.
• Experience evaluating project risk and VE opportunities.
• Strong vendor and subcontractor market knowledge.
• Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed mechanical estimates.
• Perform HVAC, plumbing, and process takeoffs.
• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda.
• Identify scope gaps, overlaps, constructability issues, and risk.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and productivity assumptions.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids.
• Prepare pricing breakdowns and VE options.
• Lead estimate and scope-alignment reviews.
• Support proposal development and customer-facing reviews.
• Support project handoff to operations.
