Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Plumber Technician to provide oversight, inspection, and QA support for plumbing systems on federal construction projects. The role focuses on reviewing installations, ensuring compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements on the Fort Hood, Texas project.

The ideal candidate has a valid plumbing license, at least ten years of experience, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in plumbing preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience with federal/DoD/military construction projects preferred.
• OSHA 10/OSHA 30 Construction Safety Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review plumbing system installations for compliance with IPC, UFC, and contract requirements.
• Conduct inspections and testing of plumbing systems throughout pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases.
• Prepare detailed technical reports with corrective actions for deficient conditions.
• Provide guidance to improve work practices, facility design, and plumbing features of work.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of newly installed plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and RFIs; respond to field changes and scope reviews.
• Attend meetings to discuss features of work to ensure project success.
