Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

The role involves reviewing installations for IPC/UFC compliance and coordinating with project stakeholders. The candidate will conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; plumbing training preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License is required.
• Minimum ten years of plumbing installation, inspection, or related oversight.
• Knowledge of IPC, UFC and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing plans, specs, shop drawings, and docs.
• Experience inspecting, testing, and commissioning plumbing systems.
• Experience with federal/DoD/military construction preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 Certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain access to military installations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication, technical writing and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and QA for plumbing on federal projects.
• Review installations for code and contract compliance.
• Conduct inspections and testing during construction.
• Prepare technical reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, contractors, and government reps.
• Oversee final acceptance tests of new plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs with comments.
