Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX.

You will review installations, evaluate compliance with IPC and UFC, conduct inspections and testing, and assist with commissioning. Qualifications include US citizenship, a valid Plumbing License, at least ten years in plumbing installation or inspection, knowledge of IPC/UFC, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical plumbing training preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Experience with federal/DoD/military construction projects preferred.
• OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of IPC and UFC requirements.
• Attend meetings to discuss related features of work for project success.
• Perform plan reviews and hand reviews with teammates.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing inspections across project facilities.
• Ensure compliance with codes and contract requirements.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommended corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to improve work practices and plumbing design.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs with constructive comments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
