Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects, including review, inspection, testing, and commissioning in accordance with IPC/UFC and federal standards. Position supports Fort Hood and related facilities, with collaboration across project managers, engineers, and government representatives.

Requirements include a valid Plumbing License, 10 years of experience in plumbing installation or inspection, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in plumbing preferred.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Experience with IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of International Plumbing Codes and UFC.
• Attend meetings to discuss related features of work for project success.
• Perform reviews of BCOES and plans with teammates.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing system inspections at various project stages.
• Perform inspections in compliance with approved documentation.
• Evaluate work practices for compliance with codes and contract requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports with corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on changes to practices, designs and plumbing features.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and RFIs; review scopes of work for field changes.
