Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

The role requires reviewing plumbing installations for IPC/UFC compliance and federal standards, with a valid license and 10 years of experience; salary is discussed with the manager in interviews. Strong communication and reporting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; plumbing training preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specs, shop drawings, and technical docs.
• Experience supporting federal DoD or military construction projects preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish thorough understanding of IPC and UFC requirements.
• Attend meetings to discuss project features for success at all levels.
• Perform reviews with teammates applying lessons learned.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing inspections across project phases.
• Inspect compliance with approved docs on all projects.
• Evaluate work practices against codes and contract requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to improve practices, facility design, and plumbing features.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Review submittals with comments to ensure proper installation documentation.
• Evaluate RFIs and review scopes for field changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
