Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Plumber Technician to provide technical oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas.

The role requires IPC/UFC knowledge, a valid plumbing license, and a minimum of 10 years in plumbing installation and inspection. Responsibilities include reviewing installations, conducting inspections and tests, and coordinating with project teams and government representatives to ensure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in plumbing preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards; healthcare/DoD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of IPC and UFC requirements.
• Attend meetings to discuss work features for project success.
• Review plans and perform hand reviews with teammates.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing inspections across facilities to identify risks.
• Perform inspections in compliance with documentation on all projects.
• Evaluate practices to ensure compliance with codes and contract requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical reports with corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to improve work practices and designs.
• Schedule and conduct final acceptance tests of plumbing systems.
• Review submittals and provide comments for documentation accuracy.
• Evaluate RFIs and review scopes for field changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Plumbing license

10+ years of plumbing experience

OSHA 10/30-hour certification preferred
