Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Denver, CO (also Space Coast, FL; Huntsville, AL; Seattle area; Los Angeles) seeks a Senior pLEO Systems Engineer to serve as a technical architect for proliferated LEO missions and constellation proposals. You will ground proposal-level architecture in subsystem constraints and own the technical narrative for DRMs.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with embedded teams, trade studies across orbital geometry, launch vehicle assessments, and support for capture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in aerospace/related field.
• Experience in multi-program systems engineering.
• Hands-on with subsystem/hardware-level design details.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end systems engineering across bus and mission architecture.
• Develop architecture for RFI/RFP responses and translate requirements into system design and budgets.
• Define high-level interfaces and technical budgets for bus and mission levels.
• Propose verification and compliance approach for proposed missions.
• Perform orbital geometry analysis and conduct design trade studies.
• Conduct launch vehicle assessments and contribute to vehicle integration decisions.
• Develop DRMs as the core technical narrative for proposed systems.
• Support capture teams with technical content and recommendations.
• Prepare materials for technical interchange meetings and leadership engagements.
