Job summary
Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Electrical Power Subsystem Architect to lead LEO satellite EPS design and maturation. You will drive architecture trades, power budgets, and integration of solar arrays and energy storage while collaborating with systems, thermal, avionics, and software teams.
A TS clearance is required at hire. Location options include Denver, Reston, and Huntsville with relocation assistance and travel up to 25%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on space power subsystem design/ testing.
- Experience with solar arrays or battery storage and PMAD.
- Leadership in EPS design, requirements ownership and analysis.
- Proficiency with power system modeling and simulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead EPS architecture trades, requirements and system performance.
- Develop power budgets and simulations for orbital conditions.
- Guide solar array and battery integration efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for interface compliance.
- Document specifications, ICDs, tests, and reports.
- Mentor junior engineers and brief results to leadership.
