Job summary

Blue Origin invites applications for a Senior pLEO Systems Engineer to architect, ground proposal-level designs, and lead trade studies across orbital geometry and launch considerations. You will work with embedded teams to ground architecture in hardware constraints and translate requirements into credible technical solutions.

You will own the technical narrative for DRMs, support RFI/RFP responses, and contribute to business development through technical material and leadership-ready talking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or related field.
• Demonstrated systems engineering execution across government and commercial programs.
• Hands-on with subsystem/hardware design and embedded teams.
• Experience with pLEO architectures and constellation-scale programs.
• Experience authoring technical proposal volumes or supporting RFI/RFP strategy.
• Understanding of V&V and AI&T / SEIT processes for bid support.
• Ability translate program constraints into proposal-level technical claims.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end systems engineering support across bus and mission architecture, coordinating with embedded teams.
• Develop technical architecture for RFI/RFP responses including budgets and approach.
• Define high-level interfaces and technical budgets for bus and mission scope.
• Propose verification and compliance approach with V&V strategy for leadership sign-off.
• Conduct orbital geometry analysis and trade studies to inform mission/constellation design.
• Conduct launch vehicle assessments and integration considerations for proposed solutions.
• Develop Design Reference Missions translating customer requirements into proposed system architecture and performance claims.
• Support capture and business development with technical content and recommendations.
• Prepare technical materials and talking points for technical interchange meetings and orals.
