ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Platform Access Controls team within Platform Security Core. You will shape the authorization platform architecture, secure-by-default posture, and scale control frameworks across the product stack.

You will lead design reviews, drive high-quality cross-team solutions, mentor engineers, and help integrate AI into engineering practices at scale. The role offers flexible work personas and broad impact across the ServiceNow platform.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree; OR 8+ years with a Master's; OR 5+ years with a PhD; OR equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OOD, design patterns, and performance at scale.
• Expert level understanding of OO design and modular software, with emphasis on Java and Golang.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD integration.
• Deep understanding of software quality, reliability, observability, and production readiness.
• Experience integrating AI into engineering work and tooling.

Responsabilités

• Set the technical vision and architecture strategy for the authorization platform.
• Work on core Authorization frameworks across the product to keep it high-quality, reliable, secure and fast.
• Own features from design through delivery with cross-team collaboration.
• Lead design and code reviews, champion best practices in access control, performance and testability.
• Implement simple, usable software that enables customers and apps to extend functionality.
• Define comprehensive test strategies for functional, regression, integration and performance tests.
• Diagnose and mitigate production issues across the security stack.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the org.
