Job summary

Commure, a healthcare AI platform, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure team to own foundational infrastructure and an internal developer platform used by all engineering squads. You will design, build, and operate multi-product infrastructure end-to-end, including IaC, Kubernetes, service mesh, and outbound security.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in infrastructure, platform, or SRE roles.
• Experience building internal developer platforms with a product mindset.
• Experience with public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure) and managed services.
• Experience with on-prem or hybrid environments and migrations.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies.
• Infra-as-code with Terraform, Pulumi.
• Controller-based infra mgmt (Crossplane, Kubernetes operators).
• Service mesh and SDN experience.
• GitOps and progressive delivery (Argo CD, Flux, Kargo).
• Observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Regulated industries experience (HIPAA, SOC 2).

Responsibilities

• Build out the internal developer platform with self-serve tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
• Own cloud foundation infrastructure as code across providers.
• Run Kubernetes fleet lifecycle, upgrades, autoscaling, and multi-cluster patterns.
• Design traffic, network, service mesh, and canary deployment strategies.
• Own release/deployment with GitOps (Argo CD) and environment promotion.
• Develop observability through metrics, tracing, and dashboards.
• Implement zero-trust access and secure connectivity patterns.
• Collaborate with Security on secrets management and policy-as-code.
