Job summary

Commure is hiring a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure team to own the foundational infrastructure and internal developer platform. You will design, build, and operate end‑to‑end across cloud providers, Kubernetes, and release workflows.

You will drive architectural decisions, implement IaC with Terraform and Crossplane, and shape the observability and security posture to support HIPAA/SOC2 compliant workflows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in infrastructure, platform, or SRE roles.
• Experience building internal developer platforms.
• Public cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure) and on‑prem/hybrid.
• Cloud‑native tech and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Controller‑based infra (Crossplane) and service mesh.
• Observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• HIPAA and SOC 2 familiarity in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and own internal developer platform with self‑serve tooling.
• Manage cloud foundation across GCP/AWS/Azure via IaC.
• Run Kubernetes fleet, upgrades, autoscaling, multi‑cluster patterns.
• Design traffic and networking with service mesh and mTLS.
• Own release/deployment with Argo CD and GitOps.
• Maintain observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Implement zero‑trust access and secure‑by‑default patterns.
• Collaborate with Security on secrets and HIPAA/SOC2 compliance.
