Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering - DevOps, Observability & Monitoring to lead platform engineering for scalable, reliable cloud-native applications.

You will guide a hands-on team across AIOps, observability, and security, partnering with product and architecture teams to deliver enterprise capabilities. The role requires expertise in cloud architectures, DevOps, and SRE practices, with a focus on automation, metrics, and proactive incident management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, SRE, or production engineering within large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AIOps or intelligent monitoring platforms.
• Experience with observability tools such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers and SRE/DevOps engineers.
• Drive adoption of AIOps and intelligent monitoring, integrating ML models into monitoring pipelines.
• Architect scalable observability frameworks across metrics, logs, traces, and events.
• Champion CI/CD, IaC, and GitOps practices for secure, automated deployments.
• Improve reliability through incident management, postmortems, and MTTR reduction.
