Job summary

Ours Privacy is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure that moves high volumes of sensitive event data across AWS. You’ll shape provisioning, scaling, and delivery with a focus on reliability and observability.

This role blends coding with operating responsibility in a fully remote US team. You’ll work with product and integrations engineers, defining patterns for deployment, automation, and fault tolerance.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of software or infrastructure engineering experience, including meaningful time owning production systems.
• Deep AWS experience, with real fluency in serverless and containerized patterns.
• Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CDK, or equivalent).
• Experience with event-driven or streaming data systems and operating under load.
• Strong observability experience with dashboards and alerts.

Responsibilities

• Evolve a platform processing hundreds of billions of events, owning ingestion, processing, delivery, and persistence.
• Estimate runtime, resource demands, and impact of migrations and schema changes.
• Strengthen regional resilience, backpressure, and automated recovery while protecting live data.
• Build reusable, tested infrastructure components and deployment patterns across AWS and Kubernetes.
• Tune data pipelines and storage for latency, throughput, and cost.
• Improve CI/CD, testing, rollouts, and rollback capabilities with robust monitoring.
