Ours Privacy is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure that moves high volumes of sensitive event data across AWS. You’ll shape provisioning, scaling, and delivery with a focus on reliability and observability.
This role blends coding with operating responsibility in a fully remote US team. You’ll work with product and integrations engineers, defining patterns for deployment, automation, and fault tolerance.
Remote. Must be physically located in the United States while working
Ours Privacy is building the future of marketing infrastructure for healthcare.
Our full-stack privacy solution is built specifically for healthcare marketers navigating today’s complex regulatory environment. We offer both a healthcare-focused customer data platform (CDP) and consent management platform (CMP) in one integrated solution, empowering healthcare organizations to track, analyze and optimize their campaigns while remaining compliant with HIPAA and state privacy laws.
Ours Privacy is trusted by many of the largest digital health companies, health systems, and medical brands across the country. We are one of the fastest growing SaaS companies in the country and as demand accelerates, we are expanding our team, product and reach as we become the standard for privacy-safe marketing in healthcare.
Our platform moves high volumes of sensitive event data through AWS every day, across dozens of third‑party destinations. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll own the infrastructure that carries it: how it’s provisioned, how it scales, how quickly we can ship to it, and how fast we know when something is wrong.
This is a broad, high‑ownership role on a small team. You’ll set the standards for how we run production, and you’ll have the latitude to fix the things you find. You’ll work alongside product and integrations engineers, and you’ll write plenty of application code too — we don’t draw a hard line between building and operating.
The role reports to engineering leadership and is fully remote within the US.
Evolve a platform processing hundreds of billions of events. Own architectural decisions across ingestion, processing, delivery, and persistence, increasing throughput and resilience as traffic, customer needs, and system complexity grow.
Bring production‑scale judgment to every change. Estimate the runtime, resource demands, and impact of migrations, backfills, and schema changes. Validate assumptions against representative workloads and design execution to be incremental, observable, and safe to pause or resume.
Deepen failure isolation and recovery. Strengthen regional resilience, backpressure, and automated recovery while protecting accepted data and live traffic. Exercise failure scenarios and verify that recovery works under realistic load.
Advance our existing infrastructure‑as‑code. Build reusable, tested infrastructure components and consistent deployment patterns that help engineers ship faster. Improve provisioning, environment consistency, and operational automation across our AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
Improve data‑system performance and efficiency. Diagnose bottlenecks across streaming pipelines, ClickHouse, and durable storage. Tune query execution, workload isolation, data layout, and resource allocation using measured improvements in latency, throughput, and cost.
Make production changes faster and safer. Strengthen CI/CD, representative testing, staged rollouts, and rollback capabilities. Improve metrics, traces, and alerts so engineers can detect regressions, understand failures, and verify recovery quickly.
Strengthen security through platform design. Evolve access controls, tenant isolation, encryption, and auditability alongside the systems they protect. Partner with engineering and compliance to maintain our HIPAA and SOC 2 commitments as the platform expands.
Lead through hands‑on engineering. Write infrastructure and application code, explain architectural tradeoffs, and raise the bar through design and code reviews. Turn lessons from production into reusable capabilities and engineering standards that make the whole team more effective.
5–8 years of software or infrastructure engineering experience, including meaningful time owning production systems.
Deep AWS experience, with real fluency in serverless and containerized patterns.
Strong TypeScript / Node.js. Our services and integrations are TypeScript, with React on the admin application.
Hands‑on infrastructure‑as‑code experience (Terraform, CDK, or equivalent) and a preference for automation over runbooks.
A track record with event‑driven or streaming data systems, and the operational instincts that come from debugging them under load.
Practical observability experience — you’ve built the dashboards and alerts that actually caught the incident.
Comfort taking systems from spec to production and owning the outcome, including the parts that aren’t fun.
Clear written communication. We’re remote and we work asynchronously, so how you explain a tradeoff matters as much as the tradeoff you pick.
Experience in a regulated environment — healthcare, fintech, or similar — including HIPAA, SOC 2, or PHI handling.
Background at an early‑stage company where you helped establish the platform rather than inherit it.
Familiarity with the marketing technology ecosystem: CDPs, ad platform APIs, conversion tracking, or consent frameworks.
Real ownership. Small team, large surface area, and a direct line from your work to what customers experience.
Work that matters. Healthcare marketers want to reach patients well and handle their data responsibly. We build the infrastructure that lets them do both.
Remote and async by default, with a team that respects focused time.
A growing company where the platform decisions being made now will hold for years.
