Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Comfortable with a polyglot codebase: Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems: APIs, event-driven patterns, asynchronous processing, and failure handling.
• Hands-on observability: structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Experience operating services on cloud infrastructure (Azure or equivalent) with containers/Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• A maintenance-and-reliability mindset: you treat operational health and clean, well-documented code as first-class work.
• Clear communicator who can explain a system or an incident to engineers and non-engineers alike.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Stack Maintenance across the full platform; maintain knowledge of components and how they integrate.
• Reliability Engineering: monitor health, investigate issues, and resolve bottlenecks and scaling constraints.
• Feature Implementation: design and ship focused features and improvements across platform components.
• Observability: extend logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for production visibility.
• Performance and scale: profile and tune components under load for reliable growth.
• Quality: write tests, review code, and uphold engineering standards for production readiness.
• Incident response: participate in on-call rotation and drive durable fixes.
• Collaboration: work with delivery pods and Decision Intelligence on long-term ownership.
