Flexential is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and operate automated, resilient IT platforms at scale. You will deploy Kubernetes workloads, build Terraform modules, Ansible playbooks, and GitLab pipelines essential to daily operations.

The role emphasizes observability, security, and AI-enabled outcomes across infrastructure, automation, and applications. You will lead design reviews, mentor mid-level engineers, and drive engineering standards while collaborating across teams to

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a production environment with DevOps/automation
• 4+ years Grafana/Mimir/Loki/Tempo configuration and production ops
• 5+ years Senior Python or scripting for automation and REST integrations
• 5+ years GitOps/CI-CD with Terraform/Ansible as IaC
• 2+ years AIOps/observability engineering including Alertmanager
• 5+ years Linux/VM management incl. VMware, NetApp, networking basics
• 2+ years Secrets management (CyberArk/Conjur/Vault)
• Minimal travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate automated, high-availability platforms with native AI capabilities
• Develop and manage Observability stack and CI/CD pipelines on Kubernetes/RKE2
• Build and manage IaC and CI/CD for automation and deployment
• Develop and manage OpenTelemetry exporters and dashboards
• Develop AIOps capabilities for anomaly detection and noise reduction
• Configure and maintain automatic service discovery and monitoring integrations
• Build and harden Edge Stack deployments across data centers
• Integrate Alertmanager with ServiceNow and incident workflows
• Maintain platform security including secret injection and mTLS
• Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, and set engineering standards
• Represent platform engineering in cross-functional reviews and executive updates
• Perform other duties as required
