Job summary

Flexential Corp. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build and operate automated, highly available IT platforms in a remote US role. You will own hands-on tasks across observability, devops, incident and release management, and platform integrations on a Kubernetes-driven stack.

You will mentor engineers, drive engineering standards, and influence the technology roadmap with secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production DevOps with Kubernetes (RKE2/k3s), Docker.
• 4+ years Grafana/Mimir/Loki/Tempo/Prometheus to run a monitoring stack.
• 5+ years Python and scripting; REST API integrations.
• 5+ years GitLab CI/CD; Terraform and Ansible as IaC tools.
• 2+ years AIOps/observability engineering and event correlation.
• 5+ years Linux/VM management; VMware/Netapp storage; network basics.
• 2+ years secrets management (CyberArk/Conjur/Vault).
• Willingness to travel minimally.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate automated, resilient, high-availability, secure platforms with native-AI capabilities.
• Develop and manage Observability stack (OpenTelemetry, Grafana) on Kubernetes via Helm and GitLab CI/CD.
• Build IaC/CI-CD for automated provisioning with Terraform and Ansible; configure ArgoCD/Helm.
• Develop and manage OpenTelemetry exporters and cloud provider integrations (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP).
• Advance AIOps capabilities: anomaly detection, event correlation, noise reduction.
• Configure and maintain secret injection, mTLS, and RBAC for platform security.
• Mentor engineers, lead code reviews and contribute to coding standards.
