Job summary

Flexential is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and operate automated, resilient IT platforms including observability, DevOps, ITSM incident and release management, and integrations. You will deploy Kubernetes workloads, author Terraform modules, write Ansible playbooks, and build GitLab pipelines used daily by the team.

The role focuses on building secure, scalable subsystems with native-AI enablement, overseeing OpenTelemetry stacks (Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Alertmanager) and IaC

Qualifications

• 5+ years DevOps/Automation in a production environment.
• 5+ years Linux administration and VM management.
• 5+ years GitLab CI/CD pipeline authoring; Terraform and Ansible as primary IaC tools.
• 2+ years AIOps / Observability Engineering.
• 2+ years CyberArk/Conjur or Vault, runtime secret injection.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate automated, resilient platforms with high availability and security.
• Develop and manage Observability OpenTelemetry stack on Kubernetes/RKE2.
• Build IaC and CI/CD for automated provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, and Helm.
• Develop and manage OpenTelemetry exporters and Prometheus scrape profiles.
• Integrate Alertmanager with ServiceNow and implement ticket routing and escalation policies.
• Maintain platform security including mTLS and RBAC in Grafana Enterprise.
• Create Grafana dashboards and mentor mid-level engineers.
• Represent platform engineering in cross-functional reviews.
