Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own our internal developer platform and foundational cloud infrastructure. You will build self-service tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and secure by-default patterns across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will lead Terraform and Kubernetes-based operations, implement GitOps with Argo CD, and champion HIPAA/SOC 2 compliance while enabling rapid, reliable software delivery for engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering in infrastructure, platform, or SRE roles.
• Experience building internal developer platforms with a product mindset.
• Experience with GCP, AWS, and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with on-premises or hybrid environments and migrations.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and IaC (Terraform or Pulumi).
• Experience with controller-based infra mgmt (Crossplane, Kubernetes operators).
• Experience with service mesh and SDN technologies.
• Experience with GitOps and progressive delivery (Argo CD, Flux, or Kargo).
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Regulated industry experience with HIPAA and SOC 2 obligations.
• US work authorization; sponsorship questions in application.

Responsibilities

• Own foundational infra and internal developer platform across teams.
• Build golden-path templates, self-service tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage multi-cloud and on-prem infrastructure with Terraform and Kubernetes operators.
• Operate Kubernetes fleets, including upgrades, autoscaling, and node mgmt.
• Define service packaging with Helm and drive progressive delivery via Argo CD.
• Ensure observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
