Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Systems Platform Engineer team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and improving our highly automated Linux-based systems and platforms while supporting our broader technology infrastructure with a focus on automation.

You'll be collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high performance, security, and availability of our systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes in on‑prem/bare‑metal environments.
• Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools.
• Knowledge of Linux internals and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with security best practices and system hardening.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve Linux-based infrastructure for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Design, deploy, and maintain on-prem Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop system software, middleware, and APIs to support internal platforms and services.
• Automate system workflows and infrastructure tasks using Python, Bash, and SaltStack.
• Collaborate with SRE, Development, and Security to ensure secure CI/CD and platform integration.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system-level issues involving OS, network, or container runtime.
• Document architectures, tools, and operational processes for long-term maintainability.
