Job summary

Cboe Global Markets, Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to manage and improve our Linux-based infrastructure and on-prem Kubernetes clusters. You will automate workflows, collaborate across teams, and support performance, security, and availability of core platforms.

The role emphasizes automation, observability, and secure CI/CD practices, with on-call rotations and strong emphasis on scalable, reliable systems across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
• Production Kubernetes experience, on-premises or bare-metal.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong scripting in Python and Bash.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, kernel tuning, performance diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve Linux-based infrastructure for performance and reliability.
• Design, deploy, and maintain on-prem Kubernetes clusters and containers.
• Develop and maintain system software, middleware, and APIs for internal platforms.
• Automate workflows and infra tasks using Python, Bash, SaltStack.
• Build and maintain RPMs and internal software repositories.
• Collaborate with SRE, Dev, and Security teams for secure CI/CD and integration.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system-level issues across OS, network, and containers.
