Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Systems Platform Engineering team. You will manage Linux-based infrastructure, design and maintain on‑prem Kubernetes, and automate core workflows to support high performance, secure systems.

Responsibilities span developing system software, maintaining containers, and collaborating with Security and DevOps to ensure reliability and safe operations across critical services. This role follows a four‑day in‑office model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Linux systems administration and infra engineering.
• Kubernetes in bare-metal or on-prem environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP in production.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting/automation skills.
• SaltStack, Puppet or Ansible for config management.
• Observability with Prometheus, Grafana or Loki.
• CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab or similar.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve Linux-based infrastructure for performance and reliability.
• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop system-level software and APIs for internal platforms.
• Automate workflows and infrastructure tasks using Python and Bash.
• Collaborate with SRE, Development and Security teams on CI/CD.
• Implement security hardening and identity/access integration.
• Participate in on-call rotations and document architectures.
