Maven in Chicago seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to join a platform team operating 22 Kubernetes clusters across regions. You will translate business and research wants into reliable platform services and manage production incidents during US hours.

You will collaborate with London and Asia teams and with Chicago infra and trading tech. Expect to automate with Python, and use ArgoCD, Helm, and Kustomize to scale and improve the on‑prem Kubernetes estate.

Qualifications

• Six+ years in platform, SRE, DevOps or development role (depth > exact years).
• Able to translate trader/researcher needs into workable platform solutions.
• Proficient in Kubernetes deployment, incident response and production guidance.

Responsabilités

• Engage with Chicago teams to understand objectives and derive actionable platform requirements.
• Design better workflows: hosted developer environments, production path, templates and checks for safe deployments.
• Push back on suboptimal requests and apply existing solutions where appropriate.
