Job summary

Maven Securities is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in its Chicago office. You will work US hours, understand trader and researcher needs, and translate them into scalable platform capabilities to empower desks in Chicago and beyond.

You will own automation and platform components, including Kubernetes, GitOps tooling, and a modern hosted developer experience, helping teams deploy safely and quickly across regions while maintaining high reliability.

Qualifications

• Approximately six years in a platform, SRE, DevOps or development role.
• Experience deploying to production Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize).
• Ability to write code to automate work (Python preferred, Go helpful).

Responsibilities

• Understand Chicago teams' goals and translate into platform requirements.
• Design better ways of working: hosted developer environments, safe path to production, templates and checks.
• Promote reuse and avoid unnecessary requests; push back when needed.
• Maintain cross-timezone collaboration with London and Asia.
• Be available during US hours for deployments and incidents.
• Contribute to a single shared platform across regions.
• Collaborate with Chicago Linux, network and storage teams.
