Job summary

Pivotal Health in the United States is seeking an experienced platform/backend engineer to own platform components end to end, including identity and access management, APIs, and developer tooling. You’ll partner with product, data, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliability and extensibility as the business grows.

The role emphasizes solving complex systems, scalable design, and building tools leveraged by product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fullstack, backend or platform software engineering.
• Proficient in Python and software design for cloud-native systems.
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling in production.

Responsibilities

• Own platform components end to end including identity, access, APIs, and developer tooling.
• Design for extension and reuse with well-defined interfaces for product teams.
• Make architectural decisions balancing scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and testing pipelines to surface meaningful signals.
• Partner with product teams to unblock delivery and reflect team needs in platform decisions.
