Job summary

Pivotal Health is a technology platform helping healthcare providers navigate reimbursement challenges. This role focuses on building the product platform layer, including identity, access, sessions, and shared services.

You will own platform components end to end, partner with product engineering and data teams, and drive architectural decisions to keep the platform reliable and extensible. Expect to design for extension, reduce toil, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while handling

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fullstack, backend or platform software engineering.
• Strong foundation in software engineering and coding; Python preferred.
• Hands-on with cloud-native systems and relational data modeling.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.).
• Ability to move across domains like authorization and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own platform components end to end; design, build and operate services and schemas.
• Design extensions and reusable interfaces for product teams.
• Shape scalable, reliable system interactions and data flows.
• Improve monitoring, alerts, dashboards and testing pipelines.
• Reduce toil with better abstractions and tooling, including AI-assisted tooling.
• Partner with product teams as an embedded platform owner.
