Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Central Tech Developer Experience team in Reston, VA.

You will own and deliver key CI/CD platform initiatives, advance ArgoCD GitOps rollouts, and enable enterprise developers with reusable pipelines and tooling. You will apply AI-assisted workflows, refine automated config validation, and contribute to platform observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development or platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLM coding assistants).
• Experience with Artifactory and release promotion patterns.
• Ability to independently own and deliver squad-level features and migrations.
• Strong technical writing for playbooks, API docs, and migration guides.

Responsibilities

• Platform Initiative Execution: Own and deliver key CI/CD components across modernization, artifact mgmt, and ArgoCD rollouts.
• AI-Augmented Engineering Workflows: Leverage AI tools to generate, refactor, and test CI/CD assets.
• Automated Config Validation & Triage: Validate platform configurations and ensure secure production migrations.
• Golden Path & Paved Road Delivery: Create reusable templates and clear developer docs for adoption.
• Artifact & Infrastructure Support: Support Artifactory, registries, and CI compute optimization.
• Developer Enablement & Adoption: Be primary contact for squads; run office hours and migrations.
• Platform Quality & Observability: Instrument telemetry and track time-to-green and build reliability.
