Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for DevEx (Finance) to own critical platform initiatives across CI/CD modernization, artifact management, and developer tooling.

You will enable AI-assisted workflows and GitOps rollouts with ArgoCD, while delivering reusable templates and clear documentation. Advancing platform reliability, you will monitor time-to-green, pipeline stability, and deployment quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development or platform engineering experience, focusing on CI/CD pipeline design and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and writing reusable workflow modules.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate code generation, debugging, and documentation.
• Experience with artifact management platforms (Artifactory) and release promotion patterns.
• Ability to independently own and deliver squad-level software features, migrations, or internal tooling.
• Strong technical writing skills for developer playbooks, API docs, and migration guides.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver key components of developer platform initiatives across CI/CD pipeline modernization, artifact management, developer tooling, and ArgoCD GitOps rollouts.
• Use AI pair-programming and automation tools to rapidly generate and test reusable CI/CD actions, deployment manifests, and platform scripts.
• Inspect and validate AI-assisted configurations and automate pipeline migrations to meet production standards.
• Build and maintain reusable pipeline templates, standardized build workflows, and clear developer documentation.
• Support artifact publish/consume patterns and optimize CI compute runners; resolve complex pipeline issues.
• Serve as a primary technical contact during platform rollouts, guiding migrations and gathering feedback to iterate tooling.
• Instrument pipeline automation with telemetry and monitor time-to-green, flakiness, and reliability trends.
