Yahoo Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced Platform Architect to own the end-to-end design of our developer platform, CI/CD, and GitOps strategy.

You will lead architecture efforts across ArgoCD, artifact management with Artifactory, and automated AI-driven deployment workflows at scale. The role emphasizes leadership, cross-team collaboration, and the creation of enterprise templates that improve developer productivity and deployment reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years building production-quality internal developer platforms, CI/CD ecosystems at scale.
• Hands-on experience architecting and operating production AI automation workflows with guardrails and evaluation loops.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted engineering tools (Anthropic Claude via Bedrock, GitHub Copilot Enterprise).
• Deep expertise in modern CI/CD architecture, pipeline design, and artifact management (Artifactory).
• Experience setting architectural direction and cross-team alignment across complex engineering domains.
• Strong technical writing, architecture RFCs, and developer documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and rollout of modern developer platform initiatives across CI/CD, artifact repositories (Artifactory), release management, and GitOps deployments (ArgoCD).
• Architect and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems that automate and maintain complex deployment manifests at scale.
• Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks and governance guardrails for AI-generated configurations in production.
• Define enterprise paved-road templates, reusable workflows, and CI compute standards for the organization.
• Drive developer productivity with AI-assisted code generation benchmarks and automated PR checks (GitHub Copilot).
• Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Compliance to embed policy into pipelines and deployment automation.
• Chair technical design reviews and mentor engineers to elevate platform architecture standards.
• Treat platform initiatives as internal products with measurable adoption and reliability metrics.
