Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in the Central Tech DX team to design and operate the core developer platform infrastructure, including CI/CD, artifact management, and ArgoCD GitOps rollouts.

You will leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate code generation, testing, and documentation; own platform migrations; and contribute to secure, scalable build and deployment workflows across squads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development or platform engineering experience.
• Experience with enterprise CI/CD platforms and reusable workflow modules.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code generation, debugging, and documentation.
• Experience with artifact management platforms (e.g., Artifactory) and release promotion patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver key components of developer platform initiatives across CI/CD pipeline modernization, artifact management, developer tooling, and ArgoCD GitOps rollouts.
• Utilize AI pair-programming and automation tools to rapidly generate, refactor, and test reusable CI/CD actions, deployment manifests, and platform scripts.
• Inspect, validate, and troubleshoot AI-assisted configurations and exception queues for production correctness and security.
• Build and maintain reusable pipeline templates, standardized build workflows, and clear developer documentation.
• Support artifact publish/consume patterns and CI compute runner optimization; resolve pipeline break/fix issues.
• Serve as a primary technical contact during platform rollouts, guiding migration steps and gathering feedback.
• Instrument pipeline automation with telemetry and monitoring to drive platform improvement.
