Job summary

Yahoo Holdings Inc. on the Central Tech Developer Experience team is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and deliver CI/CD platform initiatives, artifact management, and GitOps rollouts.

You will leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate pipeline automation and enhance platform reliability. Role requires hands-on CI/CD expertise with GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI, experience with Artifactory, ArgoCD, and AI tooling such as GitHub Copilot and AWS Bedrock.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development or platform engineering experience with CI/CD design and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and reusable workflow modules.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code generation, debugging, and documentation.
• Experience with artifact management platforms (Artifactory) and release promotion patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver squad-level software features or migrations.
• Strong technical writing skills for creating clear developer playbooks and migration guides.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver key components of developer platform initiatives across CI/CD modernization and artifact management.
• Utilize AI pair-programming and automation tools to rapidly generate and test reusable CI/CD actions and deployment manifests.
• Inspect, validate, and troubleshoot AI-assisted platform configurations and migrations for production readiness and security.
• Build and maintain reusable pipeline templates and clear developer documentation for golden paths.
• Support artifact publish/consume patterns and assist with CI compute runner optimization.
• Serve as a primary technical contact for application squads during platform rollouts and migrations.
• Instrument pipeline automation with telemetry to monitor time-to-green, flakiness, and reliability trends.
