Job summary

Tereina is building a cutting-edge B2B payments platform. As Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team, you will design and maintain critical systems for banking partner integrations and high-volume transaction processing, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

You will help ensure security, reliability, and scalability across services. You will collaborate with Product, Architecture, and other engineering teams to meet requirements and regulatory standards while driving architectural

Qualifications

5+ years in software engineering building scalable backend systems and APIs.
Experience with commercial payments, fintech, or financial data handling.
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, and containerization (Kubernetes).
Experience with microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Designing distributed systems with databases, caching, and queues.
Security-first mindset for financial services incl. encryption and secure APIs.
Ability to leverage AI tooling to speed up development.

Responsibilities

Platform development: design and implement core services and APIs for banking integrations.
Integration engineering: build secure, scalable connections with financial institutions and networks.
Code quality: write clean, tested code and participate in architectural decisions.
