Job summary

Worth AI, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer for the Platform team to accelerate engineering velocity by architecting shared patterns and unblocking technical debt. You will act as a force multiplier, mentoring engineers and leading architectural improvements across services.

You will own Kubernetes/ArgoCD configurations, optimize PostgreSQL and Kafka, and guide cross-team initiatives. All remote hires must travel to Orlando, Florida twice yearly for Town Halls and orientation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with leadership experience.
• Mentorship history developing associate and intermediate engineers.
• Experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Experience teams.
• Expertise in Node.js/TypeScript ecosystem, Nest.js backends and React.js frontends.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
• PostgreSQL and Kafka expertise.
• Ability to replace legacy code with scalable architecture.
• Experience navigating high-ambiguity environments.
• Ability to build psychological safety and trust.

Responsibilities

• Interview engineering teams to identify pain points and prioritize tooling or architectural changes.
• Design reusable patterns with Nest.js, React.js, and TypeScript for reliable services and interfaces.
• Own systemic performance issues, including PostgreSQL optimization and Kafka patterns.
• Manage Kubernetes and ArgoCD configurations for safe deployments.
• Lead cross-team challenges to refactor shared libraries and improve service communication.
• Refactor complex codebases into maintainable, testable modules.
• Mentor engineers to grow technical skills and architecture understanding.
• Research and roll out internal tools to improve CI/CD and observability.
• Introduce new frameworks and provide docs, workshops, and support for adoption.
• Lead by example in code reviews and promote maintainable design and testing.
• Communicate trade-offs clearly across functions and align differing perspectives.
