Worth AI is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to accelerate the engineering org by building the Product for the Engineers. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor teams, and own platform tooling across Kubernetes, Kafka, and CI/CD.

You'll design patterns with Node.js/TypeScript, React.js, and modern infra, while refactoring legacy code into scalable modules. This role is based in Orlando with hybrid work and periodic travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with leadership experience.
• Mentorship history developing engineers' careers.
• Experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Experience (DevEx) teams.
• Deep Node.js/TypeScript expertise and scalable Nest.js backends.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and ArgoCD experience.
• PostgreSQL optimization and Kafka event-driven design.

Responsibilities

• Interview engineering teams to identify pain points and prioritize tooling.
• Design reusable patterns with Nest.js, React.js, and TypeScript.
• Optimize performance, including PostgreSQL and Kafka patterns.
• Own Kubernetes and ArgoCD configurations for deployments.
• Refactor legacy code to maintainable modules.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical quality.
• Roll out internal tools to improve CI/CD and observability.
• Document and coach adoption of new frameworks.
• Lead code reviews and system-level risk mitigation.
• Communicate trade-offs across functions.
