Worth AI is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Platform team to accelerate engineering velocity, reliability, and joy. You will reduce friction, architect shared patterns, and mentor teams while tackling debt and governance across services built with Nest.js, React.js, TypeScript, and Kubernetes.

Expected to drive performance improvements in PostgreSQL and Kafka, own deployments with ArgoCD, and lead cross-team architectural initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership track record.
• Experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Experience teams.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript ecosystem, scale of Nest.js backends and React.js frontends.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and ArgoCD for containerized workloads.
• Strong PostgreSQL performance optimization and Kafka event-driven architecture.

Responsibilities

• Identify friction and design tools or architectural changes to speed up development lifecycle.
• Design reusable patterns with Node.js/TypeScript to empower teams.
• Own performance issues and optimize slow queries or messaging patterns.
• Maintain Kubernetes/ArgoCD configurations for safe deployments.
• Lead cross-team challenges and refactor complex codebases into maintainable modules.
• Mentor engineers and grow their technical careers.
• Prototype and roll out internal tools to improve CI/CD and observability.
• Provide documentation and run workshops to drive adoption of new architectures.
• Lead by example in code reviews and establish robust testing strategies.
• Communicate trade-offs effectively across functions and align perspectives.
