Job summary

Worth AI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Platform team to accelerate engineering velocity. You will architect reusable patterns, reduce friction, and mentor engineers while tackling cross-team technical challenges.

You will own performance tuning, service-to-service communication evolution, and the rollout of new internal tools to improve CI/CD, development, and observability. This role requires leadership and hands-on coding in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Mentorship track record.
• Experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or DevEx teams.
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript expertise.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
• PostgreSQL and Kafka proficiency.
• Ability to simplify complex legacy code.
• Comfort navigating ambiguous environments.
• Ability to foster psychological safety and high engineering quality.

Responsibilities

• Interview engineering teams to identify pain points and prioritize tooling or architecture changes.
• Design reusable patterns using Nest.js, React.js, and TypeScript for scalable services and UIs.
• Own performance issues and optimize PostgreSQL queries; refine Kafka patterns for reliability.
• Manage Kubernetes and ArgoCD configurations for safe, automated deployments.
• Lead cross-team refactors of shared libraries into maintainable modules.
• Mentor engineers to grow technical skills and understanding of architecture.
• Prototype and roll out internal tools and frameworks to improve CI/CD and observability.
• Provide documentation and workshops for new frameworks and architectural shifts.
• Lead code reviews and promote maintainable design, tests, and risk mitigation.
• Communicate technical trade-offs clearly across teams.
• Lead by example in reviews and coaching to raise engineering quality.
