Job summary

Chipotle is seeking a Senior Engineer in Platform Engineering to design, build, and optimize core computing platforms with a focus on reliability and automation. You will lead multi-region cloud architectures, container platforms, and IaC initiatives, mentoring engineers and shaping our infrastructure strategy for scalable, secure systems.

You will drive cloud migrations, improve observability, and collaborate with security, development, and operations to align solutions with Chipotle's roadmap.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field; strong technical foundation.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and multi-region architectures.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead by example.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of major infrastructure solutions to enhance scalability and resiliency.
• Troubleshoot advanced platform issues and optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and enforce infrastructure standards, security hardening, backups, and IaC conventions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical training.
• Collaborate across teams on strategic initiatives like cloud cost optimization and observability.
