Job summary

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a Senior Engineer for Platform Engineering to design, build, and optimize core computing platforms. You will lead cloud migrations, Kubernetes deployments, and automation initiatives ensuring scalable, secure systems that sustain growth.

Ideal candidates bring 5–8 years in cloud/platform engineering, with strong automation (Terraform/Ansible) and experience mentoring junior engineers. A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s to preferred.
• 5–8 years of technical experience in cloud/platform engineering.
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures (Azure/AWS).
• Proficiency with automation tooling and IaC (Terraform/Ansible).
• Leadership in incident resolution and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of major infrastructure solutions (multi-region cloud, Kubernetes platforms, IaC).
• Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize performance and costs across cloud/on‑prem environments.
• Enforce standards for security, backups, and configuration management.
